Zeeland East

The varsity soccer team won laast night 2-1 against Zeeland East to make them 2-0 in conference play. The first goal came 12 minutes into the second half when Jon Hall took a beautiful pass from Fesal Nijaziu and Jon buried the shot into the net to make it 1-0. Soon after Fesal made another great pass to Ben Weiner who finished the shot to make it 2-0. With one minute left Zeeland scored and the final was 2-1. Nathan Purchase played goal in the win. Our next home game is HOME against Holland Christian this Thursday.
The JV also won last night 3-0

It truly meant allot to me when I arrived and saw the thoughtfulness and concern you have for my family and I. Thank you so much. It is a real privilege to be a part of such a great Soccer Family. Zeeland West

Well this is our first conference game tomorrow and I will have to miss it. I will be attending my grandfathers viewing tomorrow from 4-8. I hope to hear good things from Coach Hughes about the games. Thank you to Coach Hughes for coaching the boys tomorrow and Jimmy and Tim Kordecki for riding the bus with the boys. Good luck and Play HARD.

West Michigan Christian

It is always hard to lose a game especially against WMC, but the boys played very hard and we took a big step forward defensively. We are improving every day and as long as we give 100% effort every day we will continue to improve and I feel we really did that in this game.

Shores 6- Muskegon 1

The Varsity soccer team performed well against the Muskegon Big Reds. Fesal Nijaziu opened the scoring off an assist from Ben Wiener. Muskegon scored soon after to tie it up but Fesal scored his second goal assisted by Jonathan Hall to put Shores up for good just before the half. The second half opened with Seth Orton hitting a volley from Ben Wiener in the upper right corner. Erik Flick tallied his first goal in his first appearance this year 4 minutes later on a pass from Tyler Hoerle to make the score 4-1. Michael Hall hit a header from a rebound over the keeper and tucked it just under the crossbar making it 5-1 and closing out the scoring after having 2 assists was Ben Wiener scoring off a pass from Jonathan Hall. Nathan Purchase allowed one goal in the victory as the goalie and then handed the responsibility to Kevin Kordecki who finished the game as goalie. The Varsity Boys are now 1-2-1 and look forward to Western Michigan Christian at Home this Friday.

Cancelled JV game vs. Muskegon

I just received a fax from Muskegon High School. They are unable to field a Junior Varsity Soccer Team the week of September 4th due to low numbers. Although this is expected to be a temporary problem our JV game on Wednesday has been cancelled. The Varsity game will still be played at 4:00 pm. Please communicate this to your parents.

Labor Day

There will be no practice for JV on Friday but the Varsity will still practice. Monday there will be no practices.
